Save £100 on the Dyson V8 Absolute vacuum cleaner in the early Black Friday sales

The vacuum on offer is the nickel, iron and yellow design and ships with a wide range of attachments for multiple floor types

The only major con in our Dyson V8 Absolute review was that its incredibly expensive. While it’s still on the pricey side, Currys PC World has taken the edge off by selling it for £100 cheaper in its early Black Friday deals.

It usually retails for £399 but is on sale for £299.

The Dyson V8 isn’t Dyson’s flagship cordless stick vacuum – that title is reserved for the £500 V11, which incidentally is £100 cheaper when bought direct from Dyson until 19 November – but the V8 is a fantastic alternative.

In particular, it builds on the successes of the Dyson V6 Absolute with a 425W motor, compared to the 325W on the V6. The Dyson V8’s capacity is higher too – 0.54 litres vs 0.4 litres – and it’s much quieter.

Its maximum runtime is 40 minutes on Eco mode, which drops to 25 minutes when the motorised floor tool is used. On the Turbo mode, you’ll likely get about 10 minutes before the battery needs charging again.

The vacuum on offer is the nickel, iron and yellow design and ships with the Dyson V8 Absolute Cordless bagless cleaner, a soft roller cleaner head, direct drive cleaner head, combination tool, crevice tool, mini motorised tool plus the docking station and charger.

With these attachments there’s something for every floor type and task, including vacuuming the car using the Dyson V8 Absolute in handheld mode.

Dyson products do tend to drop in price over big sales events like Black Friday, especially those sold via resellers, so Currys PC World is offering a couple of incentives to entice you to buy the Dyson V8 from its site, rather than a competitor’s.

If its own Black Friday prices change, for instance, it will refund the difference. This only applies to its own prices and isn’t a price match guarantee for lower prices on other sites.

When you buy a Dyson Repair and Support plan with the Dyson V8 Absolute, you can save 20% on the plan.

Additionally, if it’s still too expensive to pay for outright so close to Christmas, Currys PC World lets you pay nothing for six months before having the choice to either pay the balance after this period at no interest, or clearing the balance via instalments with 24.9% APR Representative.
