3. Dell XPS 13 (2019), i5-8265U (was £1,250, now £1,020)
When we reviewed the latest Dell XPS 13 i7-8565U model, we thought it was practically perfect. This Dell XPS 13 (2019), on sale now at Amazon for just £1,020, has an i5-8265U, 8GB RAM, and a 256GB SSD. That’s £230 off its typical price tag of £1,250. The pros and the cons will be much the same as the high-end model but at this price, its lack of varied connectivity can surely be overlooked. If you’re after a stylish and powerful laptop, the Dell XPS 13 is as desirable as they come.
4. Lenovo Yoga Chromebook C630 with Intel Core i5-8250U (was £700, now £490)
This is quite possibly the best Chromebook discount in the pre-Christmas sales. The Yoga Chromebook C630 is down to only £490 from its RRP of £700 at Lenovo – an incredible £210 off. Our review unit of the C630 received a 4-Star ‘Recommended’ rating and at this affordable price, it’s an absolute steal. This model has a rotating 15.6in FHD IPS touch display, an 8th-Gen Intel Core i5-8250U CPU backed by 8GB RAM and 128GB for storage.
5. Microsoft Surface Pro 7, i3-100G51 (was £799, now £699) plus FREE Surface Pro Type Cover worth £125
Black Friday bargain bundles don’t get much better than this! The all-new Surface Pro 7, currently our favourite Windows hybrid, is now reduced by £225 at Microsoft. All of the Surface Pro 7 models are actually reduced right now but the cheapest way to buy one is to select the Core i3-100G51 spec and add a Surface Pro Type Cover, which together cost £699 for Black Friday. Ordinarily, the base spec Surface Pro 7 costs £799, and the keyboard attachment is £125.
6. Asus ROG Strix Scar III, i7-9750H, RTX 2070 (was £2,200, now £1,999)
After a monster gaming machine but don’t want to pay full whack? Look no further than this Asus ROG Strix Scar III with an Intel Core i7-9750H, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 graphics and a humungous 1TB PCIe SSD. Reduced by £200 down to £1,999, it’s a fantastic bargain and absolutely ideal for aspiring esports pros as well as casual gamers thanks to its graphics abilities and 144Hz FHD display. We reviewed a higher-spec Scar III with a Core i9 and 32GB RAM (but the same hefty RTX 2070 GPU) and couldn’t recommend it more highly.
7. Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 13.5in, i5-1035G7 (was £1,269, now £1,139)
Surface fans are having an absolute field day this Black Friday season! Here’s a tidy bargain on the brand-new Microsoft Surface Laptop 3, now £1,139 down from £1,269 at Microsoft – a saving of £130. This 13.5in unit has an all-metal chassis, an Intel Core i5-1035G7 CPU, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. We gave the Surface Laptop 3 a highly positive review just this month, and at this cut-rate price, it’s an even better buy. And if you want to buy a different Surface Laptop 3, whether that be higher or lower spec, there are several other Surface Laptop 3 deals going this Black Friday.
8. Microsoft Surface Book 2, i7-8650U, GTX 1050 (was £2,499, now £1,899)
It’s a fantastic year for Black Friday Microsoft discounts, as the Surface Book 2 is also on sale right now at Amazon for only £1,899 – that’s £600 off the RRP and £350 off its average price over the previous two years. Packing an i7-8650U and Nvidia GeForce 1050 graphics, it’s a punchy machine that can handle any task you throw at it, including graphics-intensive applications for video and photo editing work. In our review of the detachable Surface Book 2 we said it was “incredibly versatile and powerful”, especially considering its size and weight. Our only real complaint was the price, but with this deal, you won’t hear any complaints from us!
