In our roundup of the best laptops on the market, one clearly stood tall above the rest, and that was the M1 Apple MacBook Air. It’s quick and quiet, has a gorgeous display, and displayed excellent battery life in our tests, making it a no-brainer for our Best Buy award as the best laptop, period.
Now there’s even more reason to love the MacBook Air, with Amazon’s hefty discount on all models bringing the price down to the lowest we’ve ever seen.
Depending on the colour, you can save up to £149 on the 256GB SSD model, with the biggest saving to be had on the Gold version, down from £999 to just £850. Silver or Space Grey in the same model will cost a little more, but still get a discount of over £100 each, coming down to £898.
There are also great deals to be had on the 512GB SSD model. This time, it’s the Silver version that benefits from the biggest price drop, coming down from £1,249 to £1,117, while the Gold version costs £1,129. There’s currently no stock for Space Grey in this size, but if you have your heart set on that colour, the 256GB SSD model is still an excellent laptop.
So that’s the savings, with at least £100 off on all models, but what exactly are you getting for your money? Well, it’s not hyperbole to say that you’re getting easily the best laptop of 2020, and thus far, 2021 hasn’t delivered anything that can knock it off the top spot.
The new ARM-based M1 chip immediately proves its worth, producing incredible speeds and power, while the fanless setup keeps noise to a minimum. Add to that the stellar 18-hour battery life and crisp 13.3in LED display and you’ve got a powerful, practical laptop that’s made all the more appealing with this generous discount.
