Amazon Prime Day: Save BIG on a range of iPads
A suite of iPads are getting the Amazon Prime Day treatment and we can’t complain
Amazon Prime Day is in full, deals-heavy swing, bringing you great deals on a range of different iPads. The retailer is known for heavily discounting its own-brand products (think Echo smart speakers, Kindle e-readers and Ring doorbells), but we were pleased to see a roster of iPads get healthy price cuts. Our favourites are the iPad (9th gen) (£299) and the 2022 iPad Air in Starlight/Space Grey (£579).
As ever, Amazon Prime Day is a day best celebrated as a fully fledged Prime member. While there are limited deals available for non-members, to get the bulk of the deals – and the best ones first – you should consider signing up to Amazon Prime. The platform is currently offering a free 30-day trial to anyone who hasn’t been a member in the past 12 months. (So if you were a Prime member in days of yore, you’ll still be eligible for the free trial).
As for the iPad deals, Apple’s 2021 iPad (9th gen) can be snapped up this Prime Day for a mere £299 – down from a regular price point of £320. It’s not an earth-shattering discount, but it’s a tidy chop from a product line that rarely budges on price, plus it’s the cheapest this particular model of iPad has ever shifted for on Amazon.

What it lacks in the wow factor department (led by higher spec siblings like newer generations of the iPad Air and iPad Pro), it makes up for in versatility and value – now heightened by this best-ever-price deal. It’s available in Space Grey and Silver.
If you’re in the market for something a bit sleeker or higher spec, the 2022 iPad Air (5th gen) has also seen its price trimmed in the Amazon Prime Day sale. You can choose between the lighter Starlight colourway or the darker Space Grey colourway; both will cost you £579.
We bestowed four stars on the model in our full-length iPad Air (5th gen) review, impressed with its performance (almost akin to an 11in iPad Pro), typically beautiful design and bolstered battery life.
