This Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Boxing Day deal is INCREDIBLE

Grab Samsung’s latest smartwatch for its lowest price ever, plus a generous Adidas voucher, with this unmissable boxing day deal

As it launched at £270 last August, our original Galaxy Watch 5 review praised Samsung’s latest wearable for its stylish design, improved battery life and solid range of apps. Now that the device has seen its first significant price drop, dipping down to just £219 in the Boxing Day sales, there’s never been a better time to snag one for yourself.

Turning this deal from a solid discount into something worth writing about is the additional £75 Adidas voucher being offered to customers alongside their watch purchase. Not only that, but shoppers picking up a Watch 5 or Watch 5 Pro will also receive 6 months free premium access to the Adidas running app. In our experience, deals this good tend to wrap up fast, so be sure to get it before it’s gone!

As noted above, our initial review of the Galaxy Watch 5 was largely positive, and while it quibbled with the watch’s lack of major upgrades compared to its predecessor, it happily retained all the likeable features that made that Watch 4 tick.

The Watch 5 is stylishly designed, nicely compact at just 9.8mm thick, and its band is comfortable and handy to wear thanks to its watch buckle design. The watch’s circular face is bright and easy to read, bearing a 450 x 450 super AMOLED display, and also sturdy due to its sapphire crystal fronting. Internally, the watch utilises a nippy Exynos W920 chipset, allowing for swift and simple navigation through the watch’s Wear OS.

In terms of upgrades, the most notable is the Watch 5’s improved battery life, with its new, larger 284mAh battery giving users a stated 10-hour improvement on that of the Watch 4, up from 40 hrs to 50 hrs. Harmonising nicely with this is the addition of fast charging, which in testing, saw the watch charge from dead to 45% in just 30 mins. Also new in the Watch 5 is its temperature sensor, whose functionality folds in with many of the device’s health apps and features, which include ECG and blood pressure sensors, workout tracking, GPS monitoring and more.
