There are currently deals on a range of Echo devices as part of Amazon’s Spring Sale
Amazon has slashed the price of its Echo smart hub, dropping the speaker from a recommended retail price of £90 to £65 – a saving of £25.
There are similar cuts across the whole of the Echo range, including on the top-tier Echo Plus. That chunky speaker will currently set you back £110, which marks a 21% saving on its normal £140 price tag.
The Amazon Echo is one of the best smart speakers out there. In our five-star review, mobile technology editor Nathan Spendelow found a lot to love: “If you’ve been hesitant in the past about plonking an always-listening device in your home, the Echo is proof that these devices do indeed have a future, and they keep getting better and better.”
We also gave the Amazon Echo Plus five stars. Contributing editor Alan Martin was particularly impressed by its sound quality given that its price is less than half that of the Apple HomePod: “Once again, Amazon has offered steady, solid improvements with the 2018 Echo Plus. The sound is excellent for the price, it’s more compact and more stylish than before and even more feature packed.”
Amazon is running sales on a number of other Echo devices, including the Dot, which has been cut from £50 to £30. There are also savings to be made on Fire TV Sticks and a platter of other gadgets.
