Amazon is selling the Sonos One for less over Black Friday
The Sonos One smart speaker is going for £40 less in an Amazon Black Friday deal, bringing the price down from £199 to £159.
This compact but powerful speaker comes with Amazon’s digital assistant Alexa in-built, making it a great alternative to an Echo device if you want to prioritise sound quality. If you’re not a fan of Alexa, there’s also the option of downloading Google Assistant instead.
“If you’re sold on the idea of a smart speaker, but you’re a bit of a stickler for superb-sounding audio, the Sonos One fits the bill nicely,” wrote senior editor Sasha Muller in his four-star review. “It looks great, sounds stupendous, and you can easily add a second speaker for stereo sound, or use it to form part of a slick multi-room system.
“The real clincher here, however, is that the One isn’t tied to any one smart assistant. So, regardless of whether you prefer Amazon or Google’s way of doing things – or potentially want the best bits of both – the Sonos One will ensure that great quality sound is only a voice command away.”
It’s worth being aware that the £199 listed price is the recommended retail price, and Amazon has quite recently been selling it cheaper than this at £179. All the same, £159 is a good price for a solid smart speaker.
