Don’t miss these bargain prices on this Ring doorbell and Echo Dot bundle

Thinking of upgrading your smart home? This crazy Amazon deal gets you up to 41% off a ring doorbell and a third-generation Echo Dot.

Ring doorbells and Echo Dot speakers are among the most popular smart home devices on the market right now, and with this amazing new bundle deal you can save up to 41% on both of them. They’re both fool-proof, affordable and of excellent quality, meaning we’ve got absolutely no hesitations recommending this bundle to any smart home newbies.

In short, you can get a third-generation Echo Dot and Ring Video Doorbell for just £54, which is a £35 saving on buying the two seperately.

We gave the Echo Dot (3rd gen) five stars and a Best Buy award in our full review, praising it specifically for its excellent audio quality and affordable price. That was when this nifty little speaker cost £50 alone; now that you can pay £4 extra and get a Ring doorbell thrown in, this deal is definitely not one to miss.

The Echo Dot has voice-activated Alexa functionality, allowing you to ask Alexa questions like “What’s the weather forecast?” or “What’s the capital of Egypt?”  You can also connect your Spotify and Apple Music accounts so that you can ask Alexa to play your favourite songs and artists without lifting a finger.

Since its release in 2018, the retail price of the Echo Dot has dropped to £40 and Amazon has continued to develop its Echo range. Nevertheless, our glowing review of this speaker stands; “The Echo Dot (3rd gen) is a masterclass in making everything better, without hiking the price in the process,” we wrote in our review. “It’s the best budget smart speaker you can buy.”

Amazon hasn’t done half-measures with this deal either – you’ll also get a wired Ring video doorbell worth £49. While this may be Ring’s most affordable video doorbell, it comes with all the features you need to keep an eye on your home wherever you are. That includes a 1080p HD video camera that starts recording and sends a notification to your phone when the motion sensor is triggered and when someone rings the bell, so you’ll never miss a visitor. These notifications can also be sent to the Echo Dot and any other Amazon Echo products.

Another particularly attractive feature is two-way talk. If you’re out of the house when your doorbell rings and you receive a notification, the Ring app will allow you to connect to the doorbell through Wi-Fi and speak to whoever is at the door. You’ll be able to see and hear them on your phone screen, and your voice will play through the doorbell’s speakers. If you don’t get to your phone immediately though, the doorbell will store any recordings for 30 days should you wish to view them at a later time.

The only drawback to this doorbell is that it’s hardwired, so there’s no option to just recharge and replace the batteries like other Ring doorbells, and you’ll have to wire it directly into your home. That might be a bonus for homeowners because you can set it up and forget about it, but for renters, this hardwiring isn’t so easy.

Worry not, though because Ring also sells a plug-in adaptor for its wired doorbell, allowing users to just plug their doorbell into a three-point wall socket should they wish to avoid hard wiring. Usually, this adaptor costs £20 but with this deal, you can bundle it together with the doorbell and Echo Dot for an additional £10.
