PSVR Black Friday deal: Playstation VR mega pack reduced on Amazon
Amazon is offering a PlayStation VR and five games for less over Black Friday
Amazon has cut the price of a Sony PlayStation VR Mega Pack as part of its Black Friday sales, bringing the cost of the headset and five games down to £209.99.
That saving marks a £90 reduction from the £299.99 recommended retail price, although in actuality Amazon has been selling the same pack for £285.68 until quite recently. Regardless, it’s still a tempting deal on a virtual reality bundle.
The first thing to note is that the pack doesn’t come with a PS4. You’ll need one of those to make use of anything in the box, which includes a PSVR headset and camera, and a set of five games.
These are: Resident Evil 7, Skyrim VR, Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, Everybody’s Golf VR and PlayStation VR Worlds. The latter is actually a collection of smaller VR experiences, so there’s plenty of variety for testing out VR gaming.
Of the games, both Resident Evil 7 and Skyrim VR are standout titles, offering terrors and adventures respectively. Everybody’s Golf VR is also a lot of fun, if you’re in the mood for something a little less intense.
The PSVR system itself is an excellent-value VR headset. “Resolution quibbles aside, the PSVR is a fantastic VR headset that has a great line-up of games and is excellent value for money,” wrote Alan Martin in his five-star review. “It’s easy to set up and exceedingly simple to use, and the fact you can plug just it into an existing PS4, PS4 Slim or the PS4 Pro only makes it more attractive.”
