The wonderful Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is now just £150

Best in budget by some distance

If you were to visit our best fitness trackers page, you’d see that the Garmin Vivoactive 3 is our top pick at £180. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is even better, and right now at Argos you can get it for £31 less than its more limited sibling.
That’s right: the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is £149. It’s marked as being in ‘sand’ colour, but the listing also mentions that it comes with a black strap too.
Like the original Garmin Vivoactive 3, it’s an all-round excellent smartwatch with a sporty bent. That means it’ll give you notifications and supports Garmin Pay contactless payments, but it’ll also give you GPS tracking, heart rate measurement, sleep tracking and the ability to monitor your progress via a VO2 Max estimate.
But more important here is the word “music” in the headline. This means it has space for 500 songs, which should keep you covered whether you’re going for a 5km jog or a long, drawn-out marathon. Perhaps more importantly in this streaming age, Spotify Premium members can download music off Spotify straight to the watch.
Both of these things mean you can leave your phone at home, but not face a dull, monotonous run without a beat to step to. While some are perfectly happy running with their phone – myself included – there’s certainly something to be said for leaving it behind. Especially if your solution involves carrying it, or awkwardly putting it into an armband.
As Ed wrote in his review: “We’ve always considered Garmin’s Vivoactive 3 an impressive fitness watch, even without music playback. The Vivoactive 3 Music provides the icing on the cake, turning the mid-range sports watch into a truly best-in-class wrist wearable.
“The Vivoactive 3 Music’s Spotify app is easy to set up, easy to use and performs seamlessly. Add that into the impressive cocktail of features its predecessor already provided, and you have a watch that you’ll want to wear all day, every day.”
That was a five-star review at its original price of £219. With £70 off, it’s a no brainer.
