Save 40% on the incredibly long-lasting Huawei Watch GT

Two weeks’ battery like is practically unheard of for smartwatches

It’s been a good Prime Day for wearable fans, with deals on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, Garmin Vivoactive 3 and Polar Vantage M already piquing our interest. But for those that want a smartwatch with unbeatable battery life, then you should look no further than the Huawei Watch GT.

And if you’re an Amazon Prime member, then you can get one for less. Usually, the sporty smartwatch will set you back £199.99, but until the end of Prime Day you can buy one for £119.99: a saving of 40%.

So what makes the Huawei Watch GT so special? Well, it looks great for a start with a large, 1.4in 454×454 OLED screen, and it packs in everything you’d expect from a sporty wearable including GPS and a heart-rate tracker.

The real party trick, however, is battery life: the Huawei Watch GT has a battery life that can be measured in weeks rather than days. Up to 30 days, according to Huawei, and in our tests we found that credible. Jon was able to get a couple of weeks’ use out of it, and that includes some GPS tracking and notifications.

How is this witchcraft possible? It’s all thanks to Huawei’s use of two chips. One is low powered, barely draining the battery when you’re not moving. The other regular chip only kicks in when required. That leads to incredible stamina.

As Jon wrote in his review: “Overall the Huawei Watch GT is an impressive wearable.  It looks the part, it’s comfortable to wear, the screen looks great, activity tracking works well – and battery life is stunning.”

For under £120, you’ll struggle to do better on a smartwatch.
