Save £47 on the excellent Garmin Forerunner 35

Entry-level running watch is now even better value at £82.99

Garmin’s latest running watches have a dizzying amount of features, but what if you’re a runner that just wants the basics done right? Well, then you’re probably on the look out for the Forerunner 35, and the good news is that it’s now over a third off at Amazon.
The world’s biggest online retailer has slashed £47 off the RRP, meaning you can get the Forerunner 35 in black, sky blue or lime green for £82.99. Bad news for anyone holding out for the white version – it’s weirdly not included in the sale.
It may be basic, but you get pretty much everything you need to become a better runner. The Forerunner 35 has built-in GPS and heart-rate monitoring, and connects to the excellent Garmin Connect app, which in turn links up with Strava. You can expect nine days’ worth of battery in smartwatch mode with smartphone notifications, and 13 hours of training with the GPS enabled. It even has support for external sensors via ANT+ if you want to get a bit more out of it.
“The Forerunner 35 is a sports watch where less is more,” wrote Jake in our review, “and that’s a good summary of what you get: less cost, and less faff, with more features.
“It addresses all the key needs of a runner or training athlete, captures an impressive amount of health data and makes it very easy to review and analyse your workouts in the app.”
He gave it a five-star review when it sold for £124. Suffice it to say that at £82.99 it’s a strong recommendation to anybody who wants a no-frills running watch that’ll help them achieve that PB without bogging them down with superfluous features.
