The Apple Watch Series 6 is going cheap at Amazon for Prime Day

The latest Apple Watch gets a tasty discount for Prime Day.

It’s pretty common knowledge that Apple products are expensive, which is why it’s always quite exciting when the company’s hardware is discounted, however fleetingly.

And today, it’s the turn of the Apple Watch Series 6, the latest and greatest wearable to pair with your iPhone. Usually retailing for £379, the 40mm GPS model is going for just £329 in red, blue, pink, white or black – a saving of £50.
For those with larger wrists, the 44mm Apple Watch is also discounted, albeit at less predictable rates. It’s £329 in red, £359 in pink and £349 in black or white. But the real bargain is at Currys, where the blue version – out of stock at Amazon – is just £299.
If that still feels a bit rich for your blood, remember you can get the more budget friendly Apple Watch Series 3 for just £169
The Apple Watch remains the ultimate accessory for any iPhone user (Android fans need not apply, sadly) and the Series 6 is the best version yet – well, at least until the Series 7 comes out later this year.
In our review, reviews editor Jon Bray described it as “the best smartwatch you can buy and a highly capable all-round fitness tracker to boot.” Granted the changes for 2020 – sleep tracking, blood oxygen saturation, a more efficient processor and an always-on altimeter – aren’t exactly groundbreaking, but they round out an already excellent package, even if battery life could be better.
If you’re wearing an older model, or aren’t banking on buying the next version the day it comes out, then now is an excellent time to purchase – especially if you like the look of the £299 44mm blue model.
