Maxell Colour Canalz review
Our Rating
Maxell's Colour Canalz are stylish and inexpensive earphones which come with three different sizes of rubber sleeve to ensure a secure fit inside your ear canal. They're comfortable enough to wear all day, plus they look good, too, with a range of shiny, brightly-coloured finishes available.
Bass tones are solid and well defined and the top end sounds sharp and clear. However, mid-tones can sound a bit underpowered in comparison, sometimes leading to vocals becoming lost in the mix on some busy tracks.
Despite these issues, the Colour Canalz don't sound at all bad for a cheap set of earphones. Philips' SHE2550 earbud style earphones cost the same and have slightly better overall audio quality, but the Colour Canalz look cooler and the in-ear design stays in place better during physical activity.
