Amazon has chopped an eye-popping £87 off the average price of the Best Buy award-winning Garmin Fenix 6 Pro. Smartwatch deals don’t get much better than this: at £379, it’s now the cheapest it’s ever been on the site. Given that our only reservation about the wearable was its high price and the fact that it was £600 a few months ago, this is an unmissable saving.
The Fenix 6 Pro offers a stunning array of exercise-tracking features, support for Spotify and a vast battery. As we said in our original review, “if you’re looking for the best sports watch money can buy, look no further”. Consequently, this is likely to be a very popular deal so take advantage of it quickly to avoid disappointment. Amazon also currently has gargantuan offers on the smaller Fenix 6S Pro and larger Fenix 6X Pro.
We almost ran out of superlatives when writing our review of the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro: the 260 x 260 1.3in screen is very easy to read and its memory-in-pixel tech leads to a stonking battery life of 36 hours of GPS, or ten hours of GPS and music. The Fenix 6 Pro will even alert you when you’re running out of juice during exercise and offer to disable certain features. In our tests, we found that it only needed charging every ten days or so, though.
Elsewhere, the Fenix 6 Pro is waterproof to 100m and accurately tracks you via GPS, GLONASS and Galileo satellites. It combines that location nous with sensors that monitor your heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, as well as common metrics such as steps taken, active calories and floors climbed. It can even give your energy level a rating out of 100, which is handy when you’re deciding when to take a rest day.
We’re particular fans of its PacePro feature, which transforms the watch into a smart pacing band for your runs, giving you targets for each mile based on the terrain you’re running on. It certainly helped during the half marathon we ran while wearing the watch. Integration with Spotify meant we could blast motivational tunes too.
Garmin is synonymous with sports watch excellence and the Fenix 6 Pro is a perfect example: it has all of the tools you could ever need with unrivalled Spotify support. Once again, head-turning deals like this won’t last forever so you should get in there as soon as possible.
