This Bose soundbar deal is an unbelievable Prime Day bargain

The Bose Solo 5 is an attractive soundbar option thanks to a massive Prime Day reduction

If you’re looking for a solid deal to get you into the soundbar game this Prime Day, then look no further than this massive price drop on the Bose Solo 5.

Currently selling at £145, the Bose Solo 5 is down almost £50 from its average price on Amazon of £193, and almost £100 down from its RRP of £240. While our original Bose Solo 5 review found it to be solid but unspectacular at its original price point, we still dubbed it a good budget option overall. With this rare dip in price, the Bose Solo 5 becomes a standout choice, offering a notable upgrade on your TV speakers without breaking the bank.

An entry-level model, the Bose Solo 5 works well as an accompanying device to your TV or as a simple bedroom speaker for music, slotting in nicely in both situations due to its compact size for a soundbar, measuring just under 22cm in width. As far as sound quality goes, we found the Bose Solo 5 filled a medium-sized room nicely when operating as a TV speaker and provided crisps mids and trebles when listening to music, although our original reviewer found the bass a little low, suggesting upping it in the settings.

Our original reviewer found the choice of inputs, optical, coaxial and auxiliary, a little lacking. However, most set-ups should be catered by a combination of these inputs as well as the device’s bluetooth capabilities.

As far as functionality goes, the Bose Solo 5 has just the one mode, though for movie fans it may be a godsend. The Solo 5’s dialogue mode adjusts your audio so that spoken segments are clearer, which can be especially helpful for those hard of hearing.

Another solid perk of the Solo 5 is that it comes with a good quality universal remote. The included remote is used to control your soundbar, TV and can be programmed to work with other devices.
