I’ve just touched down in Berlin to cover TP Vision’s UNBOXED event, but I wanted to quickly bring you one final headphones deal that looks to be running right up until the end of the Amazon Spring Sale.
It’s one I noted in my roundup of the best Spring Deal Days headphone offers, and is on the pair of wireless earbuds that won Open-Fit Headphones of the Year award at our Product of the Year Awards eleganza in January.
The Shokz OpenFit 2+ swept that category with a combination of fantastic sound, class-leading battery life and a super-comfortable fit. And, of course, they offer the exceptional ambient awareness that most people buy open-fit headphones for.
My colleague Ben Johnston gave them a five-star rating and our Best Buy badge when he tested them last year, at which point they cost £179. They’re currently available for £152, down from their average price over the past 180 days of £169. It’s the joint-cheapest they’ve been all year, having spent acouple of weeks there in February, and they’ve only ever been cheaper once: Amazon was selling them for £144 during Black Friday 2025.
Though we deem the OpenFit 2+ the best open-fit buds around, their more basic syablemates, the OpenFit 2, are arguably the better deal during the Amazon Spring Sale. They have the same design and battery life as the 2+ model and very similar sonic characteristics, too, but drop support for Dobly Audio and wireless charging.
Typically costing £169, and averaging £152 over the past six months, they’re available for £114 in the Amazon Spring Sale. That matches the all-time low price they hit during Black Friday, and is a real bargain for such accomplished headphones. It’s worth pointing out that, even with these discounts, the Shokz OpenFit 2 and 2+ are not the best choice for everyday use. The amount of environmental sound that their design lets in means that they’re not well-suited to noisy commutes or loud offices (unless you actively want to hear every conversation going on around you).
However, as running, gym or cycling headphones, when you need to be able to keep tabs on your surroundings, they’re the business. They’re also an awesome pick for those who can’t stand having silicone eartps filling their ear canals. The open-ear feeling they provide is wonderfully liberating, and it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them at times.
To throw one smaller spanner in the works of this Spring Sale Deal; Shokz now has an even more advanced pair of headphones, the Shokz OpenFit Pro. These use Noise Reduction technology to dampen external distractions, and it works reasonably well given the open-ear design remains largely unchanged. They also look more premium than the OpenFit 2 and Fit 2+, while supporting Dolby Atmos with Head Tracking. That said, they’re considerably more expensive – even more so when you take into account the current Amazon Spring Sale deals – so if you’re after open-ear value, I recommend plumping for either the 2 or 2+.
There are loads of other Amazon Spring Sale offer still kicking around across just about every major categories the tech giant operates in. For a list of our favourites, head on over to the Amazon Spring Sale hub. With less than five hours of the event remaining, you’ll need to act quick if you don’t want this headphones deal to disappear and leave you paying full price.
