The Fitbit Flex 2 is going incredibly cheap right now

Over 51% off this very competent (and swimproof) fitness tracker

These days, fitness trackers tend to be judged on just how many sensors you can cram into a tiny package: GPS, heart-rate tracking, barometres, and more. It’s easy to forget that for many people, this is overkill in the extreme. Not everyone wants to run a marathon – some people just want to get in a few more steps a day and feel good about it.
If that describes you, then head over to Amazon right now and add a Fitbit Flex 2 to your basket. Usually retailing for £79.99, you now have one on your wrist for just £39 – a 51% saving.

The original best-selling Fitbit Flex got the minimalist recipe down to a tee. No screen: just a brightly-coloured band with a thin transparent area through to the Fitbit. Tap it, and a light would flash for every 20% of your daily step goal completed. Simple and understated – it’s no wonder it sold bucketloads.
The Fitbit Flex 2 took this brilliant formula and made things better still by adding swimtracking to the mix. Now casual exercisers can automatically track lengths as well as their steps for a more complete picture of their fitness. On top of that, it comes with the user-friendly Fitbit app, with its excellent community features to make your fitness competitive and to keep you on track.
Really, the only fair criticism you can level at it is that it isn’t as fully features as its more expensive siblings. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, and even if it were, you’re not going to do much better for £39.
As Jon wrote in his review: “if you’re just trying to achieve a healthier lifestyle, you won’t be disappointed with the Fitbit Flex 2. It’s seriously easy to use, with a great app that offers a decent amount of helpful data to give you a leg-up when reaching for those goals.”
At £39, that’s more true now than ever.
