Disney Plus UK new launch date revealed

The 24 March 2020 release date also applies to Germany, France, Italy and Spain

The Disney Plus UK release date has been a source of anguish for quite some time. When Disney didn’t drop a UK launch date during its big unveiling earlier this year, fans in the UK and across Europe were understandably annoyed.

The US, Canada and the Netherlands have had access to Disney Plus from 12 November, with Australia and New Zealand getting it just a few days later on 19 November. Disney had initially said the UK would have to wait until 31 March 2020 but after it announced the UK pricing, it revealed that this date would be brought forward to 24 March.

That’s still a relatively long way off but it’s nice to finally have a UK release date to look forward to.

Since the initial announcement some months ago, Disney has been drip-feeding us information on what films and series we can expect and we now have what is believed to be a full list of Disney Plus content for the US.

While Disney has said that the content will vary by region, we’re hoping that most of it will be similar to what we know is availale on Disney Plus US.

The 24 March 2020 release date also applies to Germany, France, Italy and Spain but we’ve yet to hear any more information on further Disney Plus release dates in Europe or further afield.

If you want to stay up to date on Disney Plus UK news as we get it, including what film and series content will be available, you can do so on our main Disney Plus UK page.
