Bowers & Wilkins P5 Maserati Edition launched for music-loving car owners
B&W has announced a new limited edition version of its P5 on-ear headphones in partnership with luxury car manufacturer Maserati

Based on the P5 on-ear headphones that were first launched in 2010, the new Maserati Edition is more of a visual overhaul than complete redesign. It uses the same closed-back speaker drivers built using neodymium magnets and Mylar diaphragms, but switches the standard black leather finish for an exclusive Maserati racing blue.
If B&W left it at that, only car bores would be able to tell you’ve shelled out an extra £80 over the basic P5, but Maserati fans needn’t worry; the pair of metal Maserati Trident emblems attached to the headband are anything but subtle.
The Made For iPhone-approved cable with inline remote, microphone and gold-plated 3.5mm audio jack make it across from the regular P5, but the quilted leather travel pouch with more Maserati branding is just for the exclusive edition.
The partnership between the two companies has already resulted in a Maserati Edition 805 loudspeaker package, as well as B&W tuned in-car speaker systems for the Ghibli and Quattroporte.
The P5 Maserati Edition is available to buy now for £329.99 directly from Bowers and Wilkins online and in-store. That’s significantly more than the standard P5, which costs £250, but if you’re lucky enough to own a Maserati car the extra £80 probably won’t make a big dent in your wallet.
