The Garmin Venu hasn’t been this cheap since Black Friday

Garmin’s first-ever GPS AMOLED smartwatch, the Garmin Venu, is now reduced to £200 – as cheap as it was over Black Friday

The Garmin Venu impressed us in our review with both its bright display and sports tracking features, and now you can pick up one of your own thanks to its new low price of £199. From the original price of £300, that’s a massive reduction of over £100. The last time the Venu was this cheap was during last year’s Black Friday deals event.

This is an excellent smartwatch for those wanting to take their sporting activities to the next level, whether it’s running, swimming, cycling or even Pilates.

The Venu has plenty of methods of tracking your fitness and wellbeing. It can keep track of the usual metrics, such as heart rate, steps and distance climbed, and even some more unusual ones, such as stress, hydration and menstrual cycles. There’s also Body Battery, which uses a combination of data to determine and monitor your energy levels. In terms of training, there are lots of guided workouts that come with animations as well as Garmin Coach, so you can try new things and train for bigger goals from 5Ks to marathons without the cost of a personal trainer.

Outside of sports and fitness, the Venu has a great music playback function, something that sets it apart from its competitors. You can link your accounts from Spotify, Amazon Music or Deezer and download and listen to music offline thanks to the Venu’s onboard storage.

One of our main issues at the time of review was that the price of Garmin Venu was a bit high in comparison to some of its competitors even though they were offering similar features. However, now thanks to Amazon’s early Black Friday offer, it’s suddenly a fair bit more palatable, particularly when you consider that it’s competing against products such as the Apple Watch SE (£249).
