Roxio has announced Toast 10 Titanium, the latest version of its burning and digital media software for the Mac.
The new release comes in two flavours: the standard version and a new Pro version with a range of extra tools for editing and processing audio and video.
As well as its comprehensive set of CD and DVD authoring tools and other existing features, Toast 10 offers support for backing up AVCHD video direct from the camera, for optimised creation of video for the web, iPhone or iPod touch, the ability to stream video to and to convert audiobooks for the Apple mobile devices, and a tool for recording and editing streamed audio.
“Toast is far more than better burning on Mac OS; it’s about enabling users to manage, create, enjoy and simply do more with their personal library of digital photos, music, and video,” said Vito Salvaggio, vice president of consumer products, for Roxio owner Sonic Solutions. “This latest version will have special appeal to consumers that want to easily move digital media between their Mac and digital devices such as the iPhone or enjoy Web-based video content offline.”
The expanded feature set of Toast 10 Titanium Pro includes the HD/BD Plug-In for authoring HD video content on to standard DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. It also provides SmartSound Sonicfire software for automatically creating soundtracks for videos and slideshows, Soundsoap for cleaning up audio recordings as well as image enhancement and slideshow creation tools.
Toast 10 Titanium costs ?79.99; the Pro version is ?119.99.
