This Google Pixel 7 Black Friday deal is too good to miss

This Pixel 7 deal takes our Black Friday favourite and improves upon it in almost every way

Google’s latest Pixel phone has barely been out long enough for the dust to settle, but that never stopped Black Friday before, so here we have an outstanding Pixel 7 deal. Courtesy of Mobiles.co.uk, this offer gets you a £100 Currys gift card at no extra cost when you buy a Google Pixel 7 contract.

This deal is valid on a wide range of bundles, but the latest best-value contract we’ve found is the £26/mth Vodafone offer, which gets you 200GB of monthly data (thanks to a double-data deal currently running) as well as unlimited texts/minutes. The upfront cost is £35, but if you use our exclusive code ‘ER10’, you get £10 off this price, bringing the cost down to just £25. What this means is you’re paying a total of just £649 by the time your contract expires.

That’s even better than our previous favourite Pixel 7 deal, which cost £25/mth with a £115 upfront cost for 105GB of data. That was £665 over the course of the contract – well over £100 more than this new deal.

Putting that price in context, let’s look at the Google Pixel 7. To buy the 128GB model outright, you’re looking at spending £599, which means this deal gets you two years’ worth of 200GB of data with unlimited calls and texts for just £50. Add in the cherry on top that is the £100 Currys gift card, and this is a bonafide bargain.

All of this comes before we even get to the main attraction. In our Pixel 7 review, we awarded Google’s latest our coveted five-star Best Buy award, which should show what kind of quality we’re talking about here. As with most of the recent Pixels, the banner feature with the Pixel 7 is the excellent camera suite, producing detailed and colour-accurate images, even in tricky light conditions. One of the best new additions is that all cameras can now record 4K at 60fps, which makes a huge difference to the quality of footage, particularly on the selfie camera.

Aside from the cameras, the Pixel 7 sees a respectable bump in performance over its predecessor, thanks to the new Tensor G2 chipset, and an even bigger leap in stamina. In our standardised video rundown test, the Pixel 7 lasted for an impressive 22hrs and 43mins, trouncing the Pixel 6 by several hours, and only falling around half an hour behind the pricier iPhone 14. Google also highlights an “Extreme Battery Saver” option that, when activated in the settings, can apparently yield up to 72 hours of use between charges.

As with all things, the Pixel 7 has a couple of flaws that you’ll need to reckon with before buying. First of all, the complete lack of microSD and dual-SIM ports may strike some as restrictive, especially if you get the cheaper 128GB model. Further, with some of these improvements being relatively minor, it’s difficult not to look at the Pixel 7 Pro‘s smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 5x telephoto zoom camera with envy. The Pro is certainly the flashier of the two phones, just expect to spend more if you decide to go that route.

Add to all that a sweet £100 Currys gift card at no extra cost, and this deal is something of a wonder. If you’d like to see even more of the biggest bargains around, you can head over to our central Black Friday hub, where we’ve gathered together all the best deals on everything from headphones to kitchen appliances all in one convenient place.
