Amazon Prime Day took us a little by surprise this year. The retail giant’s four-day deals-fest usually takes place in July, but it’s arriving a bit earlier this time around. Aren’t you lucky? From 23-26 June, Amazon Prime members can save across a whole range of goodies: smartphones, TVs, fans, batteries, toilet paper and more. 

This page, however, is more concerned with savings in the kitchen; Prime Day is a great time to get yourself a discounted coffee machine, and we’ve spotted plenty of savings from the usual suspects, including Nespresso and De’Longhi. 

We’ve put together a selection of some of our favourite Prime Day deals on tried-and-tested coffee machines that we rate. Whether you’re after a pod, filter or espresso machine, there’s a good chance there’s a deal for you here.

1. Sage the Barista Express

Admittedly, it’s been a little while since we reviewed the Barista Express, but this point still stands: this is an excellent semi-automatic espresso machine that’s just as deserving of its Recommended award now as it was in 2024. You get a built-in grinder with automatic dosing, as well the flexibility of manual control that most bean-to-cup machines don’t offer. 

You can usually find the Sage Barista Express for around £590, and the last time we checked before Prime Day it was £630 on Amazon. Right now, though, it’s yours for £449.

Nespresso Vertuo Pop review - coffee cup

If you’re after the convenience of a pod machine, consider this bundle from Nespresso. For just under £100, you’ll get the Nespresso Vertuo Pop – a compact yet highly capable pod machine with plenty of drinks options – alongside the Aeroccino 3 milk frother, mug and spoon set, and 20 Vertuo capsules to get you started. Not bad at all. 

Alternatively, if you’d rather the machine without all the extras, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s also discounted on its own for just £59 (normally around £70 on Amazon).

The De'Longhi Evo One Next coffee machine on an orange background

A do-it-all bean-to-cup machine for around £100 less than its average price. If that sounds like a great deal, check out the De’Longhi Magnifica Evo Next: the upgraded version of the Magnifica Evo One Touch we reviewed way back in 2022. 

Its colour display offers a choice of 13 drinks – with customisable intensity levels, sizes and temperatures – and can make tasty cappuccinos, lattes and more at the touch of a button. It retails at £649, but you can normally find it closer to £470 on Amazon. This Amazon Prime Day, it’s back down to its lowest-ever price: £380.

The Melitta Aromaboy on a table

Look, I know it’s effectively a £1 discount, but I can’t bring myself not to feature Melitta’s Aromaboy, a dinky and beautifully retro filter coffee machine. If you regularly make coffee for one, it’s a great budget option: it retails for around £45 from Melitta, but rarely ever costs much more than £30 on Amazon. And in the Prime Day sale, it’s just £28.

The Ninja Luxe Cafe Premier on a table

Although it’s since been superseded by the Pro model, the Ninja Luxe Café Premier is a great semi-automatic coffee machine . It handles many of the trickier aspects of making flat whites, cappuccinos, espressos and more while still giving you some control over the process. You get the fun parts of the barista experience without too much frustrating trial and error.

The Premier normally costs around £523 on Amazon, but now you can get it for £430 in Amazon’s Prime Day sale.

Lavazza Jolie Evo review front

Nespresso not your bag? If you’re after an alternative coffee pod machine, the Lavazza Jolie Evo is worth your consideration. We gave it four stars and a Recommended Award for its compact, stylish design and tasty coffee (even if Lavazza’s pod selection is more limited than Nespresso’s wide choice of flavours). What’s more, you can get it for just £45 in Amazon’s Prime Day sale (down from an average price of £77): a bargain.

The De'Longhi Dedica Style espresso machine on an orange background

What the Dedica lacks in sophistication it makes up for in ease-of-use and compact design. This is a decent manual espresso machine for absolute beginners. Its pressurised portafilter baskets deliver consistent espresso, forgiving of dosing or grind size errors. You won’t necessarily want to use fancy single-origin, but for an entry-level espresso machine, you could do far worse. Normally around £153 on Amazon, the De’Longhi Dedica Style is £130 in the Prime Day sale.

Another Nespresso saving: this time a stonking 50% off Vertuo Next’s average price. This is a capsule machine we gave four stars and a Recommended award when we reviewed it in 2023. As with the Pop featured above, it uses Nespresso’s Vertuo pods, of which there is a vast range of roasts and flavours. Normally around £119 on Amazon, the Next is currently £59 in Amazon’s Prime Day sale.
