Garmin Vivoactive 3 slashed to lowest EVER price for Prime Day

This is the best smartwatch deal you’ll find this Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is a great time to bag a bargain, but it’s sometimes difficult to establish what’s actually a good deal and what’s not.

That’s not the case with this superb deal on the Garmin Vivoactive 3, however, which Amazon has reduced to an all-time low price of £130. Even at its most recent price of £145, the Vivoactive 3 is one of our favourite budget smartwatches but, following this additional discount, it’s almost too good to be true.

First and foremost, the Garmin Vivoactive 3 is a multisport watch so it excels at tracking a wide range of sports from running, cycling and swimming to yoga and golf. And even if you don’t consider yourself an athlete, it’s a brilliant everyday fitness tracker, monitoring your step count, calories burned, stress and heart rate among other metrics.

It’s not as advanced as the Apple Watch when it comes to smart features, but the Vivoactive 3 still provides most of what you really need. To be more specific, it shows calendar entries, weather info and smartphone notifications out of the box, and you can also download additional apps from the Garmin IQ app store. There’s also support for contactless payments via Garmin Pay.

Crucially, it has a much better battery life than many of its smartwatch rivals, too – it’ll last around seven days between charges in smartwatch mode and can record GPS for up to 13 hours continuously.

Although you can control your phone’s music apps from your wrist, unfortunately there’s no onboard music storage on the Vivoactive 3. If that’s a must-have feature for you, you can get your hands on the Vivoactive 3 Music for an additional £20. It has all the same functions as its predecessor but also adds local music storage and Spotify support.

Both watches also support Garmin’s superb new Coach feature, which helps you to create a personalised training plan for a 5k, 10k or half marathon based on targets ranging from walk/run to a 7min/mi pace. Both deals last until 11.59pm on 16 July, so act quickly to avoid disappointment. You’ll need an Amazon Prime subscription to take advantage of the discounts.
