Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls collector’s edition contents revealed

Blizzard has detailed the contents of the Reaper of Souls Collector's Edition, revealing plenty of limited edition merchandise for eager Diablo fans

Blizzard has announced a Collector’s Edition of its upcoming Diablo 3 expansion Reaper of Souls, which will bundle a box-load of extra content to series fans willing to part with a little extra cash over the standard version of the game.

For your £65, you’ll get a physical copy of the game for PC or Mac, a Behind the Scenes Blu-ray/DVD two-disc set with interviews, discussions and commentary from the developers, a CD soundtrack, a hardback art book and a mouse mat featuring the game’s main antagonist Malthael, the Angel of Death.

You’ll also get access to some exclusive in-game content for Blizzard’s most popular games. For Diablo 3, this includes three unique helmets, a selection of weapons and a spectral hellhound minion to accompany you through Sanctuary. World of Warcraft players will gain access to a Treasure goblin pet, while StarCraft 2 gamers can pick from several new Crusader-inspired portraits and Malthael decals.

Reaper of Souls is the first major expansion to Diablo 3, which increases the level cap to 70, adds a tough new fifth act along with new skills, runes, and passive abilities for all characters. A new Crusader character class, which specialises in defensive play, new weapon types including flails and larger spears, and holy magic will also be added.

If you want to secure a copy of the £65 Collector’s Edition, Amazon has it available for pre-order now. The game itself doesn’t launch until the 25th of March, so you still have time to level up those Diablo 3 characters before the new expansion arrives.
