Grab the Powerbeats 3 for their lowest-ever price
Amazon is prepping for Black Friday with some excellent deals – including this massive discount on a pair of Beats headphones
Right now, you can buy a pair of Powerbeats 3 wireless headphones from Amazon for £99. To cut a long story short, this price represents a new low for the Beats headphones, which tend to sell for an average of £150.
Full disclosure: we haven’t fully reviewed the Powerbeats 3, although they did make our roundup of the best running headphones. We’re excited about this offer simply because Beats products are usually on the expensive side; at launch, the Powerbeats 3 would have set you back £170, which means that they’ve only consistently dropped £20 in two years.
You might by this point have figured out that the Powerbeats 3 launched in 2017. This undoubtedly means that by now, they have been replaced. The Powerbeats Pro true wireless earbuds are the latest product to launch under the Powerbeats moniker, and improve upon their predecessors by ditching the wire, slimming down and introducing a new H1 chip for hands-free voice commands with Siri.
As it goes, we were a little underwhelmed by the Powerbeats Pro: our reviewer took issue with the unwieldy carry case, average sound quality and hefty price tag (they launched at £220).
We’re not going to tell you that the Powerbeats 3 right these wrongs, or that they’re free from issues of their own. What we will say, however, is that fans of Beats products who appreciate the bass-heavy sound should definitely look into these sporty wireless headphones. They offer the same excellent battery life and secure fit as their true wireless successors, and right now, they cost less than half as much.
If you need a pair of long-lasting, stylish headphones for your weekly gym sessions, the Powerbeats brand is an obvious choice, particularly if you’re a lover of all things Apple. Given that this deal is a Black Friday exclusive, you might want to think about getting a move on, if the offer tickles your fancy.
