Apple fanatics queue at 3am in Australia for first dibs on Apple’s new flagship handset
The new iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are on sale now. Boasting the latest technology and Apple’s most up to date iOS 13 operating system, the launch has been noted by millions of consumers worldwide, with many queueing since the early hours of the morning to purchase Tim Cook’s latest creations.
For the unaware, this year’s range is the first to sport a triple rear camera. The cheaper iPhone 11 introduces a dual-camera arrangement – two 12-megapixel snappers – to which the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max add a third 12-megapixel telephoto lens for when you need a closer view.
Running on the brand new A13 Bionic chip, the iPhone 11 series is Apple’s fastest ever handset range, while larger batteries help all three handsets outlast their predecessors by a maximum of five hours. The new iOS 13 operating system is brimming with new features, including advanced privacy measures – which are already catching some apps red-handed – and the long-awaited Dark mode.
The iPhone 11 comes in six different colour options: black, yellow, white, green, purple and Product Red. Prices start at £729 for a 64GB handset, rising to £779 for 128GB and £879 for the 256GB model.
The 11 Pro, meanwhile, starts at £1,049 for 64GB with two bigger storage models costing £1,199 for 256GB and £1,399 for 512GB. You can nab it in four colours: gold, silver, “Space Grey” and “Midnight Green”.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max – available in the same shades as the 11 Pro – will set you back £1,149 for the 64GB model, £1,299 for the 128GB model and £1,499 for the 512GB model.
