Apple Watch deals: Series 7 now cheaper than EVER this Prime Day
Apple's latest smartwatch is now available for its lowest price yet
If you own an iPhone, the Apple Watch Series 7 is simply the best smartwatch you can buy. Unfortunately, it’s never exactly been a cheap option — even the budget SE model starts at £250.
But for Prime Day, Amazon has slashed the price on the latest Apple Watch 7, meaning you can get the fastest and sleekest Apple wearable for just £48 more than the company’s budget option.
It gets a little bit confusing with the various configurations available, but you can save as much as £90, depending on the model. As a reminder, the Apple Watch 7 comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes, and both are available either with just GPS or with GPS and cellular date — the latter being handy for those who like to run without their iPhone.
The cheapest configuration is the 41mm Apple Watch 7 with GPS, and for the most part you’re looking at a £40 saving, taking the usual £369 RRP down to £329. However, as with the Prime Day iPad Air deal, the green version is mysteriously cheaper, and can be had for £298 — a saving of £71.
Moving up to the 45mm size without cellular, prices have universally dropped to £359 — except, again, for the green model, which is a bargain at £339.
Introducing cellular data adds a premium as you’d expect, taking the 41mm model up to £419 (a saving of £50 off RRP), except for — you guessed it — the green model, which is £379, giving it a massive £90 saving.
Finally, the 45mm with cellular data is £469, down from £499 unless you go green which has an £80 saving and comes in at £419 — the same price as the other 41mm cellular models.
Whichever you get, you’ll have an excellent experience. As our Head of Reviews Jon Bray wrote in his review, “the Apple Watch Series 7 replaces the Series 6 as the de facto best smartwatch money can buy”.
No doubt the Apple Watch Series 8 will change that in a few months, but given the Series 7 isn’t that much better than the two previous generations, you’re likely not missing much by taking advantage of the Prime Day deal while it’s still live.
