iPad Air deal: Don’t miss this epic Prime Day discount

Save up to £210 on the iPad Air in this cracking Prime Day deal

While Apple would like you to know that the iPad Pro is its best tablet, plenty of people are more enamoured by the iPad Air. Right there in the sweet spot between the basic iPad and extravagant iPad Pro, the iPad Air is probably the best Apple tablet for most people.

And as part of Amazon’s Prime Day celebration, you can get the 2020 model for up to £210 off making it more appealing than ever.

If you’re happy with 64GB of internal storage (remember, iPads don’t let you add microSD cards), then you have your pick of colours, each with a £100 saving. Green, rose gold, silver, sky blue and space grey are all £419 instead of the usual £519.

But for my money, the best deal is on the 256GB model — albeit only in one colour. While four of the five colours offer a £130 saving (£539 instead of £669), the green one offers an extra £50 off, coming in at an extraordinary £489.

Moving on to 5G models, if you’re happy with 64GB of storage, then the rose pink and green versions can be had for just £499 — a saving of £150. If you want 256GB and 5G, then all of them are £589, saving you £210 on the £799 RRP.

Although this isn’t the latest and greatest iPad Air, which was refreshed just a few months ago, it’s still one of the best tablets you can buy. As our Head of Reviews Jonathan Bray wrote, it really is “an iPad Pro in all but name.”

“Apple might not call this tablet an iPad Pro but the 4th-generation iPad Air is very much a tablet that deserves to be viewed in the same light, and mentioned in the same breath,” he concluded. “It’s a brilliantly usable productivity tablet and a highly capable laptop replacement, wrapped up in a slim, lightweight, attractive package.”

With up to £210 off for Prime Day, you won’t regret adding one to your basket.
