Samsung Galaxy A90 5G drops to just £409 in early Black Friday sales
For a limited time, get 5G for even less
Samsung’s first affordable 5G smartphone, the Galaxy A90 5G, has dropped in price for a limited time. The day in question might be over a month away, but Amazon has already fired the starting pistol when it comes to Black Friday deals (we’re already spoilt for choice too). Without question, though, this is the best smartphone deal we’ve spotted so far.
Originally launching for £669 when it arrived in shops in November last year, the Galaxy A90 5G can currently be picked up for just £409, which is a £260 saving if my maths is correct. The phone is usually priced at around £470 these days, of course, but a £60 cost reduction isn’t too shabby either.
According to our records, this is only £10 more than its cheapest-ever price back in February too.
This deal was supposed to expire at 1am on 27 October, but the Galaxy A90 5G is still priced at £409 at the time of writing, so if you’re even remotely tempted, you might want to act fast before Amazon rips this bargain from the shelves without any prior notice.
What do you get for your £409 then? Well, the Galaxy A90 5G scratches that itch for those that want a 5G-capable Samsung phone without having to hand over four-figured sums. The Galaxy A90 5G uses a speedy Snapdragon 855 for processing duties, which works with an embedded X50 modem for connecting to the 5G network as well as 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (which is expandable via microSD).
5G may still be in its formative years (at least in the UK), but overall coverage and 5G SIM contract prices have improved dramatically in the last 12 months. Now’s a good time to jump on to the 5G bandwagon, in fact, especially since most UK networks are now offering 5G contracts: as it stands, there’s plenty of choice, and both coverage and speeds are only going to improve in the coming years.
