It's not revolutionary, but Modern Warfare 2's production values are incredible and all three game modes are well executed.

Apart from the usual joypad versus mouse and keyboard debate, there’s surprisingly little difference between the console and PC versions of the game. This has caused considerable anger among PC fans. The PC version has no support for dedicated servers, and offers the same game options as the console game. This forces everyone into public matches rather than the cosy server-based communities of old. You can set up private matches with friends through the Steam game service, but there’ll be no custom maps made by the community.

MW2’s single-player game is bombastic but short and linear. However, if you only play solo, you’re seriously short-changing yourself. Multiplayer makes up two-thirds of the game, and it’s the combination of all three sections that makes MW2 a must-have title.
