The Fire HD 10 Kids Pro is at its lowest ever price

Amazon has sliced a huge 30% off the price of its child-friendly tablet, reducing it to just £140

Our top tablet pick for children, the Fire HD 10 Kids Pro (2021), is now more tempting than ever at just £140, down from £200. That’s the lowest price we’ve ever seen for Amazon’s superb tablet.

With a larger screen than its predecessor, plenty of storage space, up to 12 hours of battery life and a sturdy kid-proof case, it’s the perfect way of keeping your little ones occupied on long journeys and at home – or distracted when they’re eating their food.

The tablet comes in two versions: For ages 3 to 7, and 6 to 12. Both versions have this discount and they look and feel the same apart from the content that’s catered to the specific age group.

Available in four colours, the brightly coloured case should withstand the bumps and stickiness of daily kid life, but Amazon offers extra peace of mind for parents in the form of a two-year, quibble-free guarantee. If the worst should happen, simply return your Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro and the company will replace it for free. Hopefully, your kids will be too absorbed in all the content on offer to throw it across the room anyway.

The £140 includes a year of Amazon Kids+, which contains thousands of videos, books songs, audiobooks and more. If that wasn’t enough, you can also give your sprogs protected access to apps such as Disney+, Netflix and BBC iPlayer. This is done via the Parent Dashboard, which also lets you limit screen time, set age filters and restrict approval for any in-app purchases.

The tablet itself comes with 32GB of storage as standard, although you can expand that up to a gargantuan 1TB using a microSD. Elsewhere, the Full HD screen is 2in bigger and 10% brighter than the previous model, as well as being crafted from robust aluminium silicate glass. You also get five-megapixel rear and two-megapixel front cameras, although we can’t vouch for the skills of the photographer.
