Get yourself a bargain on one of the best Fire tablets this Prime Day

A tempting selection of Amazon Fire HD tablets are currently on offer in a series of special Prime Day bargains. Some of these tablets are now down at their lowest ever price, and as all of them earned our coveted “Best Buy” or “Recommended” awards when we reviewed them, they’re well worth snapping up at their newly reduced prices.

Indeed, if you’re on the lookout for a budget tablet that does the basics well, you can’t look past Amazon’s Fire series. This range of tablets is bred for pure value for money, and they match solid battery life with good displays for multimedia viewing. Undoubtedly, there are more powerful tablets out there, but if you’re looking to spruce up your smart appliance arsenal, these are all great choices. Not least because they all work seamlessly with things like Alexa speakers and Ring doorbells, but also because you won’t be quite so worried about your kids getting their hands on them.

We’ll link to each tablet’s review after we outline their deals, so take a read if you’d like more information. Without wasting any more time, let’s tell you about these fleeting Prime Day deals.

Fire HD 10 (Was £150; now £90)

Let’s start with the largest, and in our opinion, best value Fire HD tablet. We love the Fire HD 10 for its colour accurate display, excellent price and for the fact that it has a bit of extra RAM that gives it a nice boost in performance compared to the smaller Fire HD tablets. This tablet earned 5 stars in our review, and it appears in our round up of the best tablets you can buy, so you can tell it’s an easy recommendation from us.

In this deal, you can get yourself one for only £90, which is a 40% reduction from its RRP. From the data we’re seeing, its average Amazon price sits at £125, so this is a great opportunity to save big. Its lowest ever price was down at £80, and that was last November, which we can only assume was for Black Friday. Either way, this is the lowest it’s been since, so we’d say now is a great time to buy in.

Fire HD 8 (Was £90; now £40)

This Fire HD 8 deal is ridiculous – it’s less than half price, and that means you can get the Fire HD 8 for only £40. This tablet is made for people who want to take entertainment on the go, and at its normal price we’d say its great value for money. At less than half price, this is a deal you can’t afford to miss if you’re on the lookout for a new budget tablet.

The Fire HD 8 tablet appears in our roundup of the best tablets as the best choice under £100, and we absolutely stand by that. It has superb battery life of over 12 hours, and keeps improving its innards with each new generation. According to our data, this is the Fire HD 8’s lowest ever price, and we aren’t surprised: this deal is not to be missed

Fire 7 (Was £60; now £35)

Last, but certainly not least, is our favourite budget tablet of the lot. The Fire 7 deal here slashes the price of an already cheap tablet. Down from its very reasonable £60 RRP, you can currently grab one for only £35. With this 42% reduction, the Fire 7 is at its lowest ever price. We’ve never seen the Fire 7 drop this low, and its average price sits at £49. If you ask us, this is an easy recommendation.

The biggest challenge of making such a small, reasonably priced tablet is that it can be hard to undercut the competition while making the device as functional as possible. Although previous models like the 2019 Fire 7 didn’t quite hit the mark, the 2022 model that’s on offer here is a perfectly adequate budget tablet that will do all the basics you need it to. Don’t expect too much from it, and it won’t disappoint you.
