Motorolas cutthroat affordable smartphone, the Moto G8, has dropped to its lowest price yet in this years Amazon Prime Day sales. So long as youre quick (this deal ends at midnight on 14 October) then you can scoop up the Moto G8 for only £139 thats £40 cheaper than its launch price.
Achieving high praise at launch, most notably for its bargain price and impressive battery life, the Moto G8 is pretty much a no-brainer for the budget-conscious. Usually retailing for around £159 on Amazon, this limited-time saving of £20 makes it an absolute steal, especially if youre put off by high prices from rivals such as the Galaxy S20 and iPhone 11.
In our review, we commended the Moto G8 for its performance, which stretched out a significant lead when compared against last years Moto G7 in our usual array of CPU tests. It also lasted 18hrs 15mins our battery life test, outperforming all of its low-cost competitors, including the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T and Huawei P Smart.
Of course, its wallet-friendly price ensnares a handful of drawbacks, but these can be excused slightly when you take this new ultra-low price into account. The Moto G8s screen is only HD+ (though this does help with battery life) and it lacks an NFC chip, which means you wont be able to use it for contactless payments at London Underground Tube gates and the like.
The Moto G8s temporary price drop makes it astonishingly good value, but you need to be an Amazon Prime member in order to reap the benefits. If you arent already subscribed to the service, you can currently pick up a 30-day free trial on Amazons signup page.
