Massive savings on digital movies with Mega Movie Week

The first Mega Movie Week is underway, offering big discounts on a wide range of films

Mega Movie Week is here, and there’s never been a better time to expand your collection of films. For an entire week, loads of digital retailers are offering discounts on a massive selection of top-rated movies. Perhaps you missed one of last year’s box office hits, or maybe you want to revisit a long-lost gem. Whatever the case may be, Mega Movie Week will have something for you.

To make the most of Mega Movie Week, you’ll need to head over to one of these participating retailers:

The offer is running from 21 to 27 January, and includes a long list of recent releases. Here’s a small snapshot of some of the recently-released titles on offer, including our top picks:

  • Deadpool 2
  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
  • Peter Rabbit
  • Jumanji
  • A Quiet Place
  • Paddington 2
  • Alien Covenant
  • Justice League
  • Mission Impossible: Fallout
  • The Martian
  • Ocean’s Eight

There’s also a wide selection of older films on offer, including E.T., Forrest Gump, and Mrs. Doubtfire. By the looks of things, the selection of films seems to be similar no matter which digital retailer you choose, but there’s no harm in comparing options to find a particular movie for the cheapest price.

Prices start from as little as £1.99, but do vary enormously depending on which version of the movie you’d like to buy. On the Sky Store, for instance, the regular digital HD version of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is £2.99, but will cost you £7.99 for the digital plus Blu-ray edition.

Interestingly, the price versus picture quality varies from store to store: if you head over to the iTunes store, for example, you can buy Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom digital download in 4K for £2.99. Just bear in mind that you’d only be able to watch the film on a 4K screen with Apple TV.

These film offers last until end of the day on 27 January, so make sure you’ve expanded your movie library before these excellent deals run dry.
