Amazon is offering £221 off the price of this outstanding 50in 4K TV – but only for the next few hours.
As part of the retailer’s Spring Sale, the Philips 50PUS7303/12 has had its price slashed from £700 all the way down to £479 – that’s a 32% saving.
We’re big fans of this particular TV. While it looks remarkably similar to one of our favourite budget TVs, the Philips 6753, which we gave a Recommended award to last year, Philips has upgraded it with its P5 ‘picture perfect’ processor. The P5 engine is actually used in Philip’s high-end OLED TVs, so here it turns what could otherwise be considered a mid-price TV into a powerhouse.
In conjunction with Philips’ superb Ambilight technology, the 7303’s P5 processor serves up an eye-popping performance. The P5 engine optimises sharpness, contrast, colour and motion smoothness so that both standard definition, HD and 4K content all look as good as possible, and the Ambilight bias lighting doesn’t just look remarkable – it can also help reduce eyestrain by gently lighting up the wall behind the TV. It’s a stunning combination.
The TV also comes with Android TV built in, meaning you’ll have access to Google Assistant and the Google Play store out of the box.
