This HiSense 50in TV deal is a Prime Day corker at massive 35% off

If you're after a 50in 4K TV on the cheap this HiSense TV is amazing value at less than £300

Prime Day is one of the best times to bag a deal on a TV but it can be tricky to tell which truly represent the best value for money, especially when the TV code names are so complicated. Logic dictates, however, that when you’re getting 35% off a current model and the manufacturer is HiSense, it’s going to be an absolute corker.

The model in question is the HiSense H50B7100UK, a 50in 4K TV with support for the HDR10 and HLG high-dynamic range standards and the price is a stunning £294. That’s £155 less than the already reasonable original price of £449.

There’s a great deal on the 43in model, too, but in all honesty, 43in is a little too small to see much difference on a 4K TV over a 1080p model. If you’re going to buy a 4K TV, you need to go 50in or larger.

What else does £294 get you, though, other than that self-satisfied smug feeling of having saved a huge amount of money on big-screen TV? Well there’s plenty else you get with the H50B7100UK aside from 4K and HDR support.

You can connect it to your home Wi-Fi and watch most major streaming channels, including built-in apps for BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, All 4, Rakuten TV, ITV Hub, UKTV Play, Freeview Play and Demand 5.

Plus there’s plenty of physical connectivity to go around, with three HDMI 2.0 ports, one of which supports HDMI ARC (audio return channel) for easy connection to a soundbar, headphone output and two USB 2 ports. It’s worth noting, though, that there’s no optical output, however, you can always get around that problem by buying an HDMI audio extractor box like this one from Amazon for only £11.
