The LG A2 TV is EVEN CHEAPER for Black Friday
Now is the time to grab an OLED TV for cheap: the LG A2 has never cost as little as this
OLEDs aren’t typically a cheap option if you’re in search of a new television, but you can pick up LG’s A2 OLED for under £700 with this Black Friday TV deal.
The price of the 55in model fell to a record-low £799 at Currys earlier this week, but it’s now dropped even further to £679. To take advantage of what is one of the best Black Friday TV deals around, you’ll need to use the code VISION100OFF to get £100 off the list price of £779.
The A2 is LG’s entry-level OLED and uses a less advanced panel than its popular premium offerings, the LG C2 and LG G2, which is one of the main reasons it’s cheaper than its stablemates.
The refresh rate is limited to 60Hz as opposed to 120Hz, which isn’t a big deal for general viewing but does mean the A2 isn’t going to cut it for next-gen gamers wanting to get the best out of their Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 consoles.
Picture quality remains high, however, with the A2 benefitting from the inherent advantages that come with OLED panel technology. Infinite contrast, deep blacks and vivid colours ensure the A2 is a riveting watch regardless of content type. Meanwhile, Dolby Atmos support goes some way to ensuring your audio experience matches your visual experience, though there are of course limitations in terms of how well built-in speakers deliver Atmos content.
Another big plus is the A2’s use of LG’s webOS operating system. It’s a breeze to use, provides easy access to all of your favourite streaming services, including Apple TV, Netflix and Disney Plus, and supports the use of voice controls via its “Magic Remote”.
It’s not only the 55in that’s on sale, either. The 48in and 65in models are similarly reduced, down to £599 and £1,199, respectively.
