Boxing Day TV deals 2022: Incredible savings on 4K, OLED and more

Looking for a bargain TV deal this Boxing Day? We've got the lowdown on the best discounts around

Boxing Day is well-known as a great time to score a discount on a new TV. Good thing, too: if you’ve spent any time in front of an old telly this Christmas, it’s wholly possible you’ve been left wishing you’d taken advantage of one of November’s many Black Friday TV deals and upgraded to the latest from Samsung or LG.

This year’s Boxing Day TV deals are a little thin on the ground, in truth, but that’s okay: we’ve still been busy trawling the various online retailers in search of genuinely decent price cuts on our favourite TVs. We’ve managed to scrape- er, pull together a good list of TVs that are currently enjoying better-than-average discounts this Boxing Day that you can find below. No matter your budget or requirements, we’ve tried to pick out something for you – but if you’ve not seen anything you like, don’t panic. We’ll be updating this page again throughout the post-Christmas period.

The best Boxing Day TV deals

1. Samsung QN85B 55in (was £994, now £899)

Samsung’s flagship TV panel is called Neo QLED and the 55in QN85B was the best value of the lot at its launch price of £1,530 in July 2022. Since then, it has benefited from some drops in price but never as low as this: just £899 for this modern marvel.

The QN85B uses tiny LEDs which means more can be fitted on the screen and offer much finer control of light across the screen. Aside from that, it has all the handy features you come to expect from Bixby, Google Assistant and Alexa support and all the streaming services you could desire on its easy-to-use Tizen OS system. On average, it would cost you £994 – and currently, it is £999 at retailers like John Lewis or Samsung itself – so this is a real steal.

2. Sony A80J 55in (was £1,299, then £998, now £895)

The Sony A80J features on our roundup of the best TVs available to buy in 2022. This 4K OLED TV enjoyed a hefty discount over Black Friday; it was available for as little as £899, down from an RRP of £1,299. This Boxing Day saving blows Black Friday out of the water, however: right now at PRC Direct, you can pick up one of the best TVs of the past year for a record low £895. With full support for next-gen consoles and a vibrant, colour-accurate panel, the A80J is a force to be reckoned with – and a bona fide bargain right now. 3. LG UQ75 43in (was £379, now £309)

If your budget can’t stretch to the lofty heights of the A80J (or similar), this budget 4K TV from LG might be just the ticket. It’s currently going for a ridiculously low price of £309 at Hughes. The UQ75 is a sibling to the UP75 that features on our roundup of the best cheap TVs: a 43in 4K smart TV, the UQ75 uses IPS panel technology, which means viewing angles and colours are particularly strong (at the expense of contrast).

4. LG C2 48in (Was £1,269, now £899)

Our Highly Commended TV of the year in 2022 has been a bit cheaper than £899, it’s true, but this discount price is appealing nonetheless. Particularly since this is an astonishing 4K OLED TV, one that supports 120Hz next-gen gaming with VRR and ALLM as standard and delivers stunning HDR alongside sensational image quality.
