BT broadband deals 2023: Get BRILLIANT savings and freebies this December

We've collected all of the best BT broadband deals on the market to help save you money and bag you exciting extras

BT broadband deals are usually some of the best on the market. Not only does the internet service provider (ISP) like to frequently slash the monthly prices of its plans, but it also has a habit of throwing in generous Reward Cards to spend on whatever you want. What’s more, the company offers a decent range of speeds, meaning there really is something for everyone.

To help you find the BT broadband deal that closest fits your needs, we’ve rounded up via the nifty comparison widget below. All you need to do is enter your postcode to see how much you could save (and the freebies you could bag) by switching. Not bad, eh?

DEAL OF THE WEEK: Get a HUGE gift card with nearly every broadband plan

For a limited time, you can get a whopping £50 Reward Card with all but one of BT’s broadband deals – that’s one of the biggest freebies on offer from any of the internet service providers at the moment. Our pick would be the 50Mbits/sec plan for £33 on a 24-month plan with £32 to pay upfront, although it comes with a couple of caveats: first, our mixed review of BT and second, the fact that the price will rise on 31 March 2024.

What is BT like as an internet service provider?

We gave BT’s broadband offering a rating of three stars out of five in our original review. We highlighted its strong customer satisfaction when it came to speeds and a wide range of tariffs, especially regarding its full fibre offerings. However, the service was criticised for average customer service, questionable value for money and confusing pricing of tariffs.

Despite these criticisms, BT received a Highly Commended award for the speed of its broadband service in our annual Best Broadband Awards, with full-fibre speeds of up to 900Mbits/sec. BT also demonstrated reasonable performance in network reliability, with a higher proportion of customers very satisfied with reliability than other providers, although overall satisfaction was average.

Coverage-wise, BT Broadband relies on the Openreach network, available to 96% of the population for fibre-to-the-cabinet service. Full fibre, however, is less common, reaching around eight million homes, primarily in major cities and larger towns.

Performance and customer satisfaction also present a mixed picture. While speed is a strong point for BT, with a significant portion of customers satisfied with broadband speed, customer service scores are lower and value for money is a notable concern. Only 13% of customers were very satisfied with the value for money, leaving BT trailing most other providers in this respect.

Our review concluded that, while BT Broadband offers a broad range of tariffs and generally satisfactory speeds, improvements in customer service and better pricing could significantly enhance its market position.
