Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Bluetooth speaker less than half price in Black Friday deal
The black model of the UE Wonderboom is on offer at £40, and the blue, grey and red designs are on sale for £50
Long before Amazon introduced its Echo range, portable speakers were a hugely popular choice among people looking to have music in every room, or take their playlists with them, and one brand consistently topped best Bluetooth speaker lists – Ultimate Ears (UE).
Despite there being much more choice these days in terms of multi-room listening, the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom still holds its own and as part of Amazon’s Black Friday deals, you can get the black model of the Wonderboom 1 for just £40, down from its RRP £90.
It should be noted that the saving shown on Amazon is a little misleading. UE recently dropped the price of the Wonderboom 1 to £60 on many sites (including Amazon) following the launch of the Wonderboom 2, so while today’s deal still represents a saving of £20 on what is a truly fantastic speaker, it’s not quite the saving the Amazon listing makes out. It is still being sold for £90 in some places, though.
The speaker comes in six colours: Cashmere Pink, Fireball Red, Lilac, Phantom Black, Stone Grey, and Subzero Blue. Only the black model is on offer at £40, but the blue, grey and red designs are on sale for £50.
Alternatively, the newer Wonderboom 2 is available for £70, down from £90.
Both models offer 360-degree sound in a waterproof design that even floats, meaning you can take it in the pool or bath. The Wonderboom 1 will last for 10 hours, while the Wonderboom 2 can go for 13 hours before needing to be charged.
