The Charge 5 and Versa 4 are both enjoying sizeable discounts at Fitbit’s Black Friday deals events
Fitbit’s Black Friday deals event is the kind of sale you can bank on each year – and this year is no different. Right now at Amazon, you can grab the Fitbit Charge 5 for just £99, while the Fitbit Versa 4 is £169, down from an average of £194.
Both prices are all-time lows for their respective fitness trackers and both are excellent deals in their own right. If you can’t decide between the two, we’ll run through each below: just make sure you pick up one or the other fast.
The Fitbit Charge 5 is the latest iteration of the Charge line. It improves on its predecessor with a colour OLED screen, built-in GPS and EDA and ECG sensors, alongside a far sleeker design that we reckon is more befitting of a £170 (or £99, at present) product. Otherwise, however, this is every bit the Fitbit fitness tracker you are imagining. It tracks a huge range of activities and exercise types and can deliver notifications from your phone to your wrist.
The Versa 4 is more watch-like than the Charge 5, with a square face and a slightly pared-back approach to fitness tracking. It’s an incremental upgrade over its predecessor but reinstates a physical control button on the right-hand edge, which is a huge boon if you prefer the tactility when you’re exercising. With a lovely AMOLED screen (which earns the Versa its price tag) and a surprisingly good week-long battery life, this is the most stylish Fitbit to buy.
Both Fitbits use the brand’s excellent app to deliver health and fitness metrics in an approachable manner. We rate the Charge 5 more highly than the Versa 4, but with huge discounts on both trackers, you’re safe with either one.
