2. Sony WH-CH720N (avg £98; now £79)
For a budget pair of over-ear headphones, you could do a lot worse than the Sony WH-CH720N. While the build quality didn’t overly impress us, the beauty of less costly models on the Sony roster is that they come with features many similarly priced buys can’t match, such as the smartest noise cancelling tech we’ve ever used and highly impactful equaliser controls.
This is the lowest price the Sony WH-CH720N have ever been so they are certainly worth considering for a pair of excellent over-ear cans comfortably under the £100 mark.

Fancy the best noise-cancelling earbuds on the market? The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II offer the greatest attenuation of external noise that we’ve ever seen and are now down to their second-lowest-ever price. The Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) are a fan-favourite in the true wireless earbuds world – and for good reason. Building on the original AirPods Pro, the newest gen model has “2x” the active noise-cancelling power and Apple’s impressive Spatial Audio capabilities.

This is the cheapest EVER price we’ve seen on one of our favourite headphones from Sony. The WH-1000XM4 were our top pick of any over-ear noise-cancelling headphones in the market until their successor, the WH-1000XM5, came along. The XM4 offer similar features – including excellent ANC, 30hrs of battery life and Hi-Res certified audio – but at a lower price point. Now they’ve fallen to a record low price, too.
