VR is no longer the plaything of the rich and successful thanks to the Samsung Gear VR. This smartphone-ready headset is always wonderfully cheap, but O2 is pulling out all the stops to bring you the cheapest VR experience maybe ever: £20 for a Gear VR headset.
The Samsung Gear VR headset itself is really just a pair of goggles with two very strong VR lenses inside. There’s no cables, no technology to stress over; all you need is a smartphone, and enough room to swing a cat.
Of course, I’d be remiss to ignore the fact that you’ll need a Samsung Galaxy smartphone in order to use the Samsung Gear VR headset. You can find a full list of compatible Samsung phones on the relevant support page. If you don’t qualify, I’m afraid you’re out of luck.
