If you’ve been looking to take a step onto the smart home ladder, or you’re keen to expand your growing smart home setup, Philips is selling a huge number of Hue bundles at reduced prices in the Amazon Prime Day sale.
Until midnight on 14 October, you can save up to 40% on Philips Hue Starter Kits, outdoor lights, replacement bulbs and striplights.
The biggest saving is on the Philips Hue White & Colour Ambiance Starter Kit, which – as the name suggests – includes everything you need to get started with the Philips Hue system.
It retails for £150 but is on offer for £80 – a saving of 40% or £60.
This kit includes a Bridge that acts as the link between your router and your smart lights, plus three white and colour lightbulbs. Each of these can be controlled by the Philips Hue app and, once the lights are connected to your network, they can also be controlled using your voice by Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Homekit.
The coloured lights let you choose from 16 million colours including warm to cool white light and they can be synced with movies, music and games so the lights react to the beat, or the volume of the audio.
They come in three connection types, too – the E27 Edison screw, the B22 Bayonet Cap connection, and GU10 Spot bulbs. Make sure you check which connector you need, and whether the size of these connectors will fit in your light fittings. The GU10 Spot kit is also slightly more expensive at £99.
You can, alternatively, get a kit with two bulbs, rather than three for £42 for the Bayonet bulbs, £55 for the Edison screw bulbs, £67 for the GU10 Spot bulbs. Instead of a Bridge, you get a Smart Button included with these bundles.
Within the outdoor Philips Hue Daylo range is the Outdoor Wall Light and motion sensor bundle, which is now £117 down from £155, or a twin pack outdoor light bundle and sensor for £204, down from £264.
You can also buy the Philips Hue Lightstrip for £64, down from £90.
