Thanks to Arlo’s Prime Day 2019 deals, you can cover your entire home with smart CCTV cameras for a fraction of the normal price.
Its five-piece wireless camera system usually retails for almost £900 but for one day only, Amazon is offering a 47% discount on the range, dropping its price to just £480. For this you get five of Arlo’s rechargeable, wire-free, weatherproof HD Pro cameras. Suitable for both indoors and out, each camera comes with two-way audio letting you listen in, or talk back. There’s even a built-in 100+ decibel siren that you can control remotely to warn off unwanted visitors.
Elsewhere, because the cameras can be connected to your Wi-Fi network via a central Arlo hub, you can pair them with, and then use your voice to control, other smart devices including Amazon’s range of Alexa-powered speakers and Arlo smart home security lights.

If you pair the camera with a device with a display, such as the Amazon Echo Show or Fire TV, you can additionally use your voice and ask Alexa to “show you the back garden,” for example.

If you don’t want to buy a full camera kit, or you need more cameras for your home and garden, you can buy a pack of two Arlo Pro cameras for just £249 – a saving of £199 or 44% on the £449 RRP – in the Arlo Prime Day deals. This kit comes with two cameras and an Arlo hub and offers the same features as those seen on the five-piece kit.
Beyond Arlo’s Pro range of cameras, Amazon has also put Arlo’s standard wireless cameras on offer. You can buy a three-camera kit for £220 (down from £279), a two-camera kit for £180 (down from £310) or a single camera for £100 (down from £111). All three options come with a Netgear base unit. The standard cameras are similar to the Pro models, offering motion detection, night vision and a wire-free, waterproof design. However, they don’t come with the remote-controlled siren nor do they have two-way audio.
Extra, individual Arlo cameras can be bought without the hub and they’re also on offer for Prime Day 2019. A single camera typically costs £110 but is on sale for £65.
All these Prime Day deals are available to Prime members only. An annual membership usually costs £79 a year (or £7.99 a month when paid for monthly) but if you sign up before 16 July you can get an annual Prime membership for just £59.
