This Samsung Galaxy S10 contract is an absolute bargain

How does 45GB data and a free watch sound?

The Samsung Galaxy S10 followed in the same pattern as all our recent S and Note reviews: it’s practically perfect in every way except the price of entry. £799 was simply too much, even for a phone as good as this, when almost-as-good handsets were on the table for cheaper.

Fortunately, Samsung’s top phones tend to come down in price reasonably quickly, and this deal from BuyMobiles is an absolute doozie for those that want to pay for a phone over the duration of a 24-month contract.

For £35/mth, you get the Galaxy S10 with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 45GB of data each month. Add the code S10O2 to checkout and the upfront cost is reduced to zero. Oh and Samsung is giving a free Galaxy Watch Active to anyone who buys before 30 September.

That means a total cost of £840 over the duration of the contract, but given that includes the phone (RRP £799), the Watch (RRP £220) and a cumulative 1,080GB data over 24 months, that still counts as quite the deal in my eyes.

One important thing to note: the Galaxy Watch Active is a promotion run by Samsung, so you’ll need to claim that separately. You just need to purchase a Galaxy S10 between 9 September and 30 September to qualify, and after that you’ll have 30 days to claim, as per Samsung’s terms and conditions.

Another caveat: the terms and conditions refer to BuyMobile.net, not BuyMobiles.net, but given the former doesn’t exist we’re assuming it’s a typo. We’ve asked Samsung to clarify, but still haven’t heard anything. We’ll update this if and when we do.

It’s an offer worth taking, in any case. I reviewed the Galaxy Watch Active for Expert Reviews and was generally a big fan – even if it’s a better smartwatch than it is a fitness tracker. “It’s a great-looking and feature-packed wearable that’s fine for casually keeping an eye on your fitness, especially if you’re already tied into the Samsung ecosystem,” I wrote at the time. The S10, meanwhile, was described by Nathan as “the very pinnacle of smartphone technology” and “Samsung’s biggest leap forward in years” in his review.

Getting both on a £35/mth contract is nothing short of a bargain.
