Argos has a cracking deal on the Samsung Odyssey 27in monitor, offering 240Hz gaming with a wealth of fancy features for £120 off, bringing the price down to £429.99.
The Samsung Odyssey G7 has a fast refresh rate, 2560×1440 resolution and G-sync support. Ports-wise, it has one HDMI 2.0 port and two DisplayPort 1.4 options, a two-port USB hub with fast charging, and a 3.5mm headset jack. There’s even a tiltable screen, which is great for wiggling it about to plug things into that wealth of ports.
Connectivity, as you might expect of a gaming monitor, is generous. There’s no USB-C input but you do get a two-port USB hub with fast charging, a 3.5mm headset jack, a pair of DisplayPort 1.4 inputs and one HDMI 2.0 input.

Bray also heaped praise on the HDR quality, the slight curve and the responsive panel, which is just about every core component of the whole thing. Overall, while it’s on the pricey side, this will be a huge improvement for people that have previously only been gaming on a 1080p panel, and should even deliver a noticeable improvement for people on mid-range screens, even though this price won’t break the bank. What’s not to love?
