This Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra bundle deal is crazy good

Searching for a tablet in the Amazon Spring Sale? This is what you should buy

Terrific tablet deals can be hard to come by, but this Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra bundle in the Amazon Spring Sale is unbeatable value for money.

For just £999 (the lowest price we’ve seen), you can get the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, S Pen stylus and bundled 2-in-1 Ultra Book Cover Keyboard. Bear in mind that the 128GB version of the tablet and stylus averages around £980 on their own, so for basically just an extra £19 you’re also getting the keyboard cover – this costs £299 on Samsung’s website at the moment.

There’s clearly a huge saving to be found here, with a whopping £280 knocked off the bundle price. Sweetening the deal is the fact that all of this stuff costs less than the 12.9in iPad Pro without any extras (£1,249). Add a keyboard cover and stylus and that hefty price jumps to an eye-watering £1,767.

If you’re in the market for a gigantic high-end Android tablet that utterly blitzes the competition, you really can’t do much better than the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Its AMOLED screen is undoubtedly the star of the show, measuring a gigantic 14.6in from corner to corner with a resolution of 2,960 x 1,848, a refresh rate of 120Hz and HDR10 support.

Performance is delivered courtesy of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, and in our tests we found it to be rather speedy. However, it failed to match the raw power of the Apple M1 inside the previous 12.9in iPad Pro. Battery life was also very good, lasting for 11hrs 58mins before conking out.

How about that bundled keyboard cover, then? Sadly, we only found it to be “okay” in our original review, with the touchpad being a bit too sensitive, resulting in quite a few misclicks. Still, it’s nice that this is added for not much more money.

If this deal floats your boat, you’ll need to act fast, with the Amazon Spring Sale ending on 29 March. Of course, there are plenty more deals to choose from if you’re in the market for other savings. We’ve rounded up our favourite Spring Sale deals in one handy place, so check back regularly if you’re hoping to take advantage of even more bargains.
